Preston Media, the only student-led media house on the UWI Mona campus, is dedicated to providing opportunities for students to explore the world of media and communication while producing quality information and entertainment for our audience to enjoy.

For the residents of the AZ Preston Hall who share our passion for media, we foster an environment of creativity, teamwork and personal development. These student creatives have access to various opportunities to improve in speech, writing, production and marketing through our various arms and workshops.

At Preston Media, we endeavour to make waves throughout the UWI Mona campus with our meaningful narratives, artfully crafted visuals and enticing reads. Imagine an entity that’s grown from humble beginnings on an intercom system to become the face of media at Preston Hall. That's Preston Media!
It all started on September 23, 2017, when Shark Radio and Shark Waves, two pioneering media programmes, merged under the visionary leadership of the then executive producer, Alexander “Batman” Taylor, thus giving birth to the best of campus news and entertainment.
Back in the day, Prestonites were kept in the loop with shows like Shark News at Prime Time, Channel of Praise, and the unforgettable E-Splash. Entertainment segments consisted of birthday shout-outs, lifestyle discussions and the latest hits -every intercom message uniting Preston Hall students with the pulse of campus life. This legacy of reaching students where they are and creating meaningful and memorable content still courses through the veins of today's Preston Media.
Preston Media is the home of Prestonite creativity and collaboration in media and communication. So, whether you are looking to explore media (in front of the camera or behind the camera, the pen or the mic) or expand your brand’s reach, Preston Media is a communications entity with a rich history that offers a dynamic platform for personal growth, opportunities and advertising.
